You have been told this since you where young. It is a rule that the entire sea fairing world knows, and any port city fears.
"And the Golden King gets what he wants, no mater what it is"
This you know well. You lost something, or someone, to the Kings greed. Whether is be gold, a ship, or even family if you are an exotic species, he took it for himself. Not like you could do anything against it. The Golden King rules the Sea, and any who go against him are fools.
But what if that wasn't true?
One day, you received a letter. Unsigned, unmarked, simply stating one thing.
if you wish to strike back against the Golden Crown, come to the Forlal Port, and meet in the Sea Fowl Tavern.
So here you are, risking everything for a chance to strike back against the one who took everything from you. There are othere here, all having received the same message, and all seeking the same goal.
