E.j sighed as he walked, putting his hands in his pockets. Suddenly he froze, hearing the foot steps of another, they sounded heavy, and he thought he recognized them, but he hid just in case, about to pounce

Toby stopped walking when he heard a sound. He stood confused looking around.

E.j leapt at him, pinning him, a scalpel ready to stab into his abdomen where his kidneys were

"What the-" he managed to struggle free, and get to his feet pulling his axes out.

Wait a minute, Toby?" He called, recognizing the voice

"Jack?" asked Toby realizing who he was fighting. He lowered his axes.

Jack stood up, adjusting his mask" w-where have you been?" He asked, pulling his hood down, revealing his auburn hair

"I just been around..." shrugged Toby. "I stay around here mostly, but I've been traveling a lot." He looked up at Jack. "Where have you been? I haven't seen you so much lately."

Back at slender mansion, the proxies have been getting hurt a lot, so ive had my work cut out for me" he said, his voice sounding like two people were talking at once

Toby seemed to be thinking for a moment. "How have the proxies been lately?" he asked curiously. "I haven't seen them in a while since I you know- left." He brushed his hair back uncomfortably at the word 'left.'

Masky, despite what you think misses you, so do the others" he responded kicking the ground

Toby felt somewhat relieved by this news. they felt like family to him, so he knew they at least cared. He had been worrying if they felt the same, or if he was just a burden to them. He relaxed ever so slightly, before pushing it to the back of his mind. Maybe someday he would rejoin them, but he had to focus on his goals now.
Suddenly he heard a rustling noise from the bushes and spun around alerted. -
Jack tensed, his head whipping towards the sound, preparing to fight

A small squirrel jumped out.
"oh." realized Toby, lowering his axes. "I guess I'm just a bit jumpy lately-"
He was cut off as a skinwalker lunged forward at the two of them, snarling viciously. -
Jack moved out of the way, jumping back a couple of feet
