"Okay," Kai said, looking down. "I understand. But if you ever need me, I'll be in the first cottage to your left in that town right there," he told her, pointing to a village nearby. He began walking calmly back to his home.

Mary smiled watching him walk off. "What's your name? I mean... if I ever need you..."

He turned around. "Kai. Kai Christen," he said to her with the slightest smile before walking off.

Mary smiled and started walking off. "Kai...Kai" She smiled and walked in the woods.

Kai went back to his home and fell asleep in his bed, thought his mind was filled with pictures of the girl. What was her name? Where was she from? What happened? Was she okay?

Mary paused. "T-that guy... I-I can't* She ran over to Kai's house and knocked on the door.

It was the next morning and Kai heard a knock on his door while he was making his morning tea. Opening it, he smiled warmly. "Hello," he said to the girl from last night.

"Please... can I stay here for a little bit? I'll tell you anything but I just need help right now..." Mary looked down.

"Of course," Kai said, letting her in. He walked over to the kitchen to grab his herbal tea as he waved her over to sit somewhere in the living room. "Would you like something to drink? Tea? Water?"

Mary walked in sitting down. "Water please"

Kai nodded and got a glass of water, handing it to Mary as he walked into the living room and sat down beside her. "May I begin by asking your name, or are you not comfortable with that?"

Mary turned around looking at Kai "Mary. Mary Sue" She smiled

Kai smiled. "Ah, you're the princess, correct? Why have you run away from home?"

Mary frowned. "Your smart... arranged marriage" Mary touched her arm. "I don't love who I am supposed to marry."

Kai nodded in understanding. "I see. May I also ask if you're alright? You seem hurt- what happened?"
