"O-Oh,” William stammered. "Not even one?"

"No."

"Well then, we have to go somewhere together after school! You need a hobby."

"I don't do hobbies anymore," Jordan said.

"Why not?" William asked.

"I just don't," Jordan said. She really didn't think that opening up her past to him was a good idea.

"Oh," William said, a tad bit dissapointed. "Well maybe you can come over to my house later? My parents bought a new movie and haven't had time to watch it with me, and none of my friends want to watch it with me either. Would you like to watch it with me?"

Jordan considered. "I suppose I will," she said.

William gave a very high pitched squeal and hugged Jordan.
"Thank you!" He exclaimed. -
There was that feeling again. She quickly masked it. She couldn't show her emotions. Not after what happened...

William quickly pulled away.
"Sorry. I tend to get excited whenever I make a new friend." He apologized. -
"Let me be clear, we are not friends," Jordan said.

"Friendly acquaintances then," William said happily.

Jordan was silent. Friendly meant caring which meant she would be feeling emotions towards him. However, she did feel a certain... attachment to him.
"Acquaintances," she corrected. -
"Good enough for me!" William exclaimed, taking a bite of his food.
