The bell rang. "I have to go," Jordan said, walking away from him. -
(Probably. If not then she could've been born like this.)
"Oh, well bye then!" William said, waving goodbye. -
(Alright)
Jordan didn't wave back. She saw no need for such trivial actions. She just went straight to class. -
William went to his own class as well.

At lunchtime, Jordan sat alone as she always did. She was mulling over what had happened earlier. That kid, William, she had found out his name was, had made her feel something she hadn't felt in a long time.
She shouldn't have felt it, but she had. -

William was carrying his tray of food to the place he normally sat.
However, he saw Jordan looking depressed and decided to take a rain check.
He headed over to Jordan.
"Mind if I sit here?" William asked, giving her a cheerful smile. -
"Why would I?" Jordan said more than asked.

William took that as permission to sit down, and sat down.
He began to munch on his cookie. -
Jordan was silent. She didn't see any need to engage the boy in front of her in conversation.

"So, how are you?" William inquired.

"Same as I always am," she said in an almost monotonous voice.

"Beautiful?”
William was just trying to make the situation happy, he wasn't trying to flirt. Perhaps it came off that way though...
