C1 has a crush on the popular kid, C2, but isn't eager to admit it, even though it's obvious. She won't even admit it to herself.
C2 also likes C1 and at some point even confesses to her.
But C1 is afraid he'll be like her ex when C2 is quite the opposite.

Thane walked up to the school building. He had about fifteen minutes until his first class started. He gave a grin when he saw some of his friends and walked over to them. They started walking about random things, but it was fun.

Vivian walked up to the school building, a journal in one hand and a multi-colored pen in the other. She hummed as she drew sketches in it, occasionally scribbling out sections and re-drawing it. She looked up, looking around to try and find her friends, but was saddened when she didn't see them. She shrugged and put her journal up in her bag, running a hand through her silver hair.

Thane and his friends decided they should probably head inside so they did just that.
After a bit the bell rang. Thane had to rush to get to class. He was a few minutes late.
"Sorry Mrs. Jenkins," he said, taking a few deep breaths from running as he sat down.
"That's quite alright," the teacher said. "But next time make sure you keep your autograph signing until after school."
Thane chuckled along with the rest of the class. "Yes ma'am." -
Vivian walked into the classroom, unnoticeably sitting down in her seat. She pulled out her notebook and journal, setting it in front of her on the desk. She crossed one leg over the other, tugging her deep green skirt over her knees as she paid as good attention to the class as she could before getting distracted.
