"I need to wake myself up," Jessie groaned. "Or not. It's so late!"

Ross chuckled, nodding. ``Guess so. Y'know, you can go back to sleep.``

"Oh no trust me, I'm wide awake," Jessie said, not appearing or sounding to be particularly so.

Ross chuckled and sat back down, letting out a quiet yawn. He grabbed the blanket and pulled it over him, leaning back against the couch.

Jessie waved her hand tiredly. "You can go back to sleep but I know for a fact that I'm just going to wake back up."

"Can't exactly fall asleep either," he said with a tired chuckle. "Oh how I would to, insomnia's a b--ch and won't let me sleep."

"Did we already try lavender scents?" Jessie asked. "Or was it lavender tea?"

``I think it was the tea,`` Ross replied with a short nod.

"Maybe more scents? More blankets? More pillows?" Jessie said, sounding puzzled.

``It's fine, I'll fall asleep eventually,`` Ross said with a small chuckle, running a hand through his hair. ``Don't worry about me.``

"I'm your girlfriend. It's pretty much my job to worry about you!" Jessie said in a playful tone.

``True, but you should worry about yourself first,`` Ross said, crossing his arms. ``You're more important, anyways.``

"No I'm not!" Jessie protested, plopping another pillow on him. "I sleep just fine. It's you that I'm going to dump all of my concern and love on."

``I'll be fine,`` Ross repeated with a chuckle. ``I'll fall asleep eventually, anyways.``

Jessie crawled up onto the couch and curled up around him. "You're warm," she said with a smol smile, happy and making a sound akin to a purring cat.
