she sat on the swings at the park she normally hung out at, eating her sweets and watching the clouds flaot by -

The group soon left the museum, heading back to Felix's place. ``That, was pretty awesome,`` Callum said with a chuckle.
``Yeah, it was pretty great,`` Felix said with a chuckle, looking out the window of Anderson's car.
``You good?`` Anderson asked, glancing over to his friend.
``Y-Yeah, I'm good.``
``You sure? Seem kinda down,`` Callum said from the back seat.
``I'm fine,`` he said as Anderson pulled up to the park near his place.
``So, about what I was saying about Veronica,`` Anderson said as the boys got out of the car.
``No one wants to know about your hook-up with Veronica.``
``Whatever.``
Felix got out and looked over, seeing Kai sitting on the swing set. A small smile appeared on his face, but quickly hid it from his friends. -

``Yeah uh, just thought I'd visit,`` Felix said with an awkward chuckle.
``Hey- Oh, it's you,`` Anderson said, walking over to Felix.
``Wait, who's this?`` Callum asked, crossing his arms.
``This is Kai,`` Felix explained, ``my uh, my neighbor.``
``Oh, that weirdo at school you used to have lunch with?``
``Yeah, her,`` Anderson said with a nod. -

Kai looked at felix."w-what are they talking about felix?" she asked, looking confused, she thought they were good friends, so why was he telling them that she was weird?

Felix stood, staring at her. Words filled his mouth, wanting to tell her his friends were the weirdos, but he kept his mouth shut in fear of abandonment.
``Yeah, I remember you now,`` Anderson said, taking a step closer to Kai. ``You're that obnoxiously energetic girl I saw Felix with the first day of school,`` he added, chuckling. ``Thank f--k I saved him from you.`` -
she glared at him. "am i energetic, yes, but i am not obnoxious, haven't you learned anything? the ones who hurt the most inside, smile the brightest, the lonely people, show the most kindness, and the most damaged people are the wisest. you would do good to remember that, what would happen to you if every single person in your family disappeared?" she said, stepping to anderson at every pause

Anderson tensed up, glaring at the girl. He shoved her back, pushing her to the ground. ``You better stand down, b--ch. Know your place, and that place is on the ground.``
Felix clenched his fists and swung a fist at Anderson, hitting his squarely in the jaw. ``Don't you call her a b--ch ever again, a--hole,`` he said angrily, shoving Anderson away. -
Kai looked at felix in surprise, a million thoughts in her head, and all of them were about him.

Felix helped Kai up, his heart racing. ``Are you okay??`` He asked worriedly, making sure she wasn't hurt.
