so sorry for so many blank posts :')

Roy watched Jo exit her hospital room and rushed to her. “Is everything okay? What did they say?” He asked. His eyebrows furrowed as he leaned in to hug Jo.
-
``Yes, everything's fine, Roy,`` Jo said with a weak chuckle, hugging him back. ``They just said to be careful for a few days and rest up. Drink water and eat. Nothing big.``
-
“Jo... Where’s your mother?” Roy asked. He knew Jo’s mother had been in and out and seemed to care more about... other things than she cared about Jo. “Do you need me to take you home?”
-
``She's uh, working,`` Jo replied, letting go of Roy. ``I tried to call her and see if she could come down but she said she was busy..`` She sighed, running a hand through her dark hair. ``It's fine. And sure, I could use a ride home,`` she added, looking up at Roy.
-
“Let’s go,” Roy sighed, but smiled at Jo. He wanted to be there for her, but it was so hard when he didn’t even know what happened. He decided not to pressure her though.
Roy held Jo’s arm and led her outside to his car. He opened the door for her, then headed to the driver’s seat. -
Jo got into the seat, buckling herself up. ``I'm uh, I'm sorry if what happened back there scared you like, at all,`` she said, staring down at her folded hands in her lap. ``Life has just been uh, rough. For me.``
-
Roy nodded, securing his seat belt. He had always been the quiet type, but when it came to Jo, he had a hard time keeping his mouth shut. He didn’t say a word, but would occasionally glance at Jo to make sure she was okay. After a few minutes, they arrived at her home. Roy pulled into the driveway, noticing that no one was home. He sighed, pulling his emergency brake.
-
Jo unbuckled and stepped out of Roy's car, standing on the driveway. She stood still for a moment, trying to get rid of the dizziness that came over her. She looked up at the mostly darkened house, seeing only a few lights on. ``Guess they're still working..`` she muttered, letting out a sigh.
-
-
“Wait,” Roy called out as Jo stepped into the driveway. “Y-you know,” Roy began to stutter due to his nervousness. “You could stay at my place. I don’t think my mom would mind... I mean, we’re both seventeen, and we’re just, we’re just friends,” Those last two words almost made him choke.
-
Jo looked back, a light smile on her face. ``Sure. I'm sure my parents won't mind,`` she said, walking back over to Roy's car and getting back inside. ``Anyways, I don't really feel comfortable staying home alone. Especially at night.``
