(Ah crap now mah character shall feel le guilt)
Arabella sighed and looked down. "Fine. I'll help," she told him. -
(Heehhehehehehehee)
"Great! Now could you kill the first guy you see on sight, excluding me?" Adonis asked. Then he shook his head gravely. "I'm just kidding. Anyway, I’m the prince. Do you need me to elaborate, or does that explain the problem?" -
"Ha ha ha. Very funny. And no, I don't think I need you to elaborate. You need to marry me, don't you?"
-
Adonis sighed. "Yes. It’s very straightforward. Actually, I don’t even think we have to get married. The, uh, suitors will probably stop once they find out that I’m in a relationship."
-
"OK, how will this play out?" Arabella asked with a sigh.
-
"Don’t know, show up somewhere, start talking for a week or something, then announce that we’re dating?" Adonis suggested. "I don’t know. You’re the boss," he teased.
-
Arabella chuckled. "You don't seem to have thought this through much," she commented.
-
"Well, you know, I might be just a bit impulsive." He frowned. "Do you have a better idea?"
-
"I don't think so," Arabella said.
-
"That’s fantastic, so let’s proceed with mine," Adonis told her cheerfully as he led her out of the dark room and to a nice outdoor restaurant. He gestured for her to sit down, and he sat next to her awkwardly.
-
Arabella sat down awkwardly next to Adonis and looked towards him. "Your name is Adonis, right?"
-
"No, that’s not me. My name, in fact, is Not-Adonis," Adonis replied awkwardly, looking away from her.
Soon, a waitress approached them. "What would you like?" she asked. "A glass of water," Adonis responded immediately. "And you?" The waitress turned to Arabella. -
Arabella nodded. She looked up to the waitress. "I'll just take the same please."
-
The waitress frowned. "Is that all?"
Before the two had a chance to even fathom what she had asked, she quickly flitted away and blended in with the other waiters and waitresses. Plates clattered against each other.
"What do you think of our not-relationship so far?" Adonis whispered. The waitress returned soon, balancing two tall, pristine glasses of water on one callused hand. She looked like she wanted to let out a sigh of relief when she set the glasses down in their rightful places. Again, before Adonis and Arabella had a chance to even thank her, she nimbly retreated. -
Arabella creased her eyebrows at the fleeting waitress.
Then she turned to Adonis. "I mean, I guess it's good. I don't know, honestly," she said.
