Adrian walked through the forest, his boots making a crunching sound against the crisp covering of snow, his breath making white clouds in the winter air. He stopped near the river. There was a bridge that was broad enough for a vehicle to go through to his right. He felt like something was about to happen. He felt drawn to the place. Someone was coming, he knew. He hid behind a nearby tree and looked out at the river, waiting to see what would happen.

Harley strode by the riverbank, feeling the wind swivel through her hair as she pulled her velvety scarf up to her nose. It was cold outside; she was practically hopping up and down from her shivers. -
(Well who doesn't love a good romance)
Adrian saw a girl a little ways away from him. As soon as he saw her he knew she was his charge. He wondered if he should approach her now or wait. -

"Ooh, it's cold out here, huh, Harley?" She spoke to herself, trying to lighten the mood. "You know you shouldn't be out here anyways, silly." She didn't really care, though. She loved being outside in nature's beautiful glory. -
Adrian decided later, unless something else happened. For some reason he felt slightly hesitant to reveal all this to her.
