But the cave had already shifted enough so that she couldn't

Jasmine frowned. "Um a little help here?"

But there was no response. Apparently she was stuck there until she learned the lesson Rowan wanted her to learn.

Jasmine banged on a wall, desperate to find her way out.
You see, Jasmine was claustrophobic. -
A few hours later Rowan went to get her. Whether she had learned not to try and escape or not, she shouldn't be out there. She was probably famished.

Jasmine was sitting down, rocking back and forth and taking deep breaths.

"Come on," Rowan said when he found her.

Jasmine looked up at him, fear showing in her eyes.

He was used to people looking at him in that way. It was the only emotion people ever looked at him in. "Do you want to stay right here until you die?" he asked.

"I'm probably going to die either way." she whispered.

"We'll see," Rowan said and he picked her up and started carrying her back where they had been before.

"We'll see? What does that mean?" Whimpered Jasmine.
