They were at the top of the US state of North Dakota. "It is so cold." Cash said as Ali leaned against him and the horse's were huffing and puffing.
-
They should have grabbed blankets or something. It was springtime, but it was still cold up there. At least it would be getting warmer as the year went.
-
"We should keep going." Ali said as she fixed her wind messed up hair.
"Yeah, we need to find a way into Canada's border though." Cash frowned, thinking hard to himself. How will we get in, the border's are controlled and watched 24/7. -
"Are there any weaknesses in the border?" she asked
-
"I don't know. We may just have to try to enter and hope for the best." He said.
-
"Somewhere not near the roads, definitely," Jenna said.
-
"Yeah." He said.
"Can we take a small break before we go?" Ali wanted to stretch her legs but she also wanted to do something. -
"Weren't you just the one who said that we should keep going?" Tessa inquired.
-
"If Ali needs to break than we should break." Cash responded as though he was in a trace, not really paying attention to them.
Ali slide off the horses back and smiled at her weirdly, like she knew he was gonna say that. -
"Is something wrong, Cash?" Jenna asked. "You look off."
-
He shook his head and answered, "No, I'm just thinking very hard." He slide down off the horse also and tied the reins to a tree branch nearby.
-
Jenna gave him a skeptical look, then got off her horse as well.
-
Ali was playing with the knives and throwing them like ninja stars. One missed Jenna by going over her shoulder as it flipped. "I'm sorry." Ali said with a sense of laughter in her voice.
Cash sat down, leaning against the tree. Thinking about what to do, to save them. -
Jenna glared at Ali, knowing she wasn't as sorry as she said she was. She sat down near the roots of a tree, using the tree as a shield between her and Ali.
-
A knife came zooming through the air like a boomerang and missed Jenna by a inch, barely touching her hair. The knife disappeared in Ali's hand. "I'm sorry, my throwing must be off today." She grinned. "I must have to practice more."
