"Yes." He grabbed her hand and started to run.
-
Jenna hadn't expected them to break into an all-out run.
Jenna kept her mind off her burning legs by thinking about some things.
These 'Riders from the South' must be dangerous in order for Cash to be running even though he was dreadfully injured.
Well, they were traveling north to Canada
So then the enemy, Harrison's people, would be from the south.
Logic. -
The sound of clomping horse feet sounded from them and Cash realized that there was no way they were gonna out run them so he instead deviced a plan to get a hold of the horses. We need those horses.
-
Jenna's mind wandered around. She didn't completely understand why he was helping her so much. Nor did she understand why she was so important to this war if they could just kill her and replace her like nothing, and why they were trying so hard to get her to fight.
-
He stopped and turned to the riders. They had guns like the one Jenna had. He let his eletric powers spaark up and he threw a eletric ball at them and the horse's reared. The riders fell off and tryed to jump up but one had a broken ankle and the other looked dizzy. "Grab the horses."
-
Jenna blinked then did as he said. The horses were freaking out a bit that they had been shot at and their riders were no longer mounted upon them. However, she was quickly able to calm them down and led them over to Cash.
-
"You will tell Harrison to not come after us, got it?" Cash said to them and they smirked at him. One of the guys spit at him, "He will come after you traitor, you and the girl. You know they need her, she may not know who she is but they do know who she is."
Cash looked confused but he kicked the guy in the stomach, the guy groaned in pain. -
Jenna shook her head in confusion. "Come on," she said, handing him the bridle of one of the steeds.
-
He got on the horse and headed toward Canada.
-
Jenna had only ridden a horse once before, but she did the best she could. They rode at a fast pace, and soon the sun began to set.
-
"Do you want to stop?" He asked as he looked around and the horse paced nervously.
-
"Would it be better to keep going, though?" Jenna asked. She was tired and hungry, having not eaten anything since she had woken up from unconsciousness, but if they needed to keep going to not get caught, they'd keep on going.
-
"It would be better." He agreed that it would be better, less chance of them getting caught.
-
"Then let's keep going," she said, ignoring the hunger.
-
"Okay then." Soon they were hitting the flat roads and jumping over logs. Cash had rode all his life so he felt like this was normal. His horse had grace and bounded quite quickly.
