(Should I assume they healed her shoulders as well?)
A bit later Jenna's eyes opened and she sat up, obviously weak.
She was still chained up, but she didn't feel any pain in her foot anymore. -
(yes)
Cash noticed her awake right away and smiled, "We healed your leg, I hope it feels better." He stood up and sat the food onto the night table. -
Had he just smiled at her? Jenna took the food. She was too hungry to care if it reminded her of home or not. "Why do you suddenly care?" she asked in between bites.
-
He frowned, "I-" He didn't know the answer to that question so he just shrugged his shoulders.
-
"There has to be a reason," she said. "I seem to be destined to die here, there's no reason to do.this."
-
"......" He didn't answer that either, instead he shoved his hands in his pockets and stood by the window staring out at the sky.
-
Jenna was a little surprised when he didn't give her an answer. She finished her food, some of her color going back into her cheeks.
She got out of the bed. She didn't know whose it was but she was sure they wanted it back. Looking down at her foot she saw that it indeed was healed. So were her shoulders. -
He watched her get up, silent as though he nothing say, but then again he had nothing to say. He wanted to yell and scream while the other half wanted to just chill for a little bit.
-
"So what do I do?" Jenna asked. "Just go back to my little cell and wait for those two girls to come in screaming at me and eventually kill me?"
-
"I don't know what they may do." He frowned and winced at the way she was talking in a rude voice, like he was being punished for being himself for once.
-
Jenna stood there uncertainly. She was afraid of him, there was no doubt in that. But he seemed to be going out of his way to try and take care of her and seemed to genuinely not be able to think of a reason for it.
"I don't know why you're doing this," she said quietly. "But thank you." -
"Your welcome." He sighed and turned away. He rubbed his scar and winced at the memories that appeared in his head.
-
Jenna swallowed. He didn't look like he was in a good spot. She didn't know if she should try and help him or if he would attack her again if she tried.
-
He turned back to her, "How are you feeling?" He asked with a sense of fake calmness to his voice.
-
Jenna looked away from him. "A little better than before.
She didn't realize that she wasn't wearing a mask anymore. Her face showed all her emotions. The three most prominent ones were fear, uncertainty, and pity.
