"Porak attacked me in the halls yesterday, " Cassie began. She pointed to the mark on her wrist. "He did that to me. That's why I didn't want him as a body guard.
The scuffle outside the kitchen was because Porak had been eavesdropping. And I knew he was probably going to use the information against me.
The next big thing he did...while I was tsking a shower he broke into my room. Broke down the door. I had started locking it because I didn't feel safe otherwise. He broke - he broke the pocket watch." -
"I will kill that boy if I ever get my hands on him." Donald growled. His face fell the next second. "But he's still your bodyguard." he said in a sorrowful tone.

"No," Thalia said. "We're firing him."

"I made a contract." he mumbled.

"And what was that contract," Thalia said, looking at Donald

"To let him stay Cassandra's bodyguard if he paid us money. If one of us broke the deal, the other one had full permission to report them to the authorities." he said.

"Well," Thalia said, "I'm glad to know your loyalties do not lie with your family."

"Thalia you don't understand." he said. "Poraks family owns a huge business that could easily shut ours down."

"And that means more to you than Cassandra?!" Thalia said loudly. "Our daughter doesn't feel safe in her own home!"

"Either way, we could all end up in serious danger!" he yelled.

"What on earth do you mean," Thalia said.

"The goverment could take Cassandra away from us due to bills that we wouldn't be able to pay because the business would be shut down. he said.

"But wasn't the part where he doesn't do anything to Cassie part of the contract?" Thalia asked.

"No, it's only if he kills her." he said.
