Laurel pulled her hair back, letting the cool night air touch her heated skin. She wrinkled her nose. When was the last time she'd showered? Her stomach rumbled. She hadn't eaten in a while either. She missed her comfortable life when things were peaceful. Her family didn't have much then, but there was always food on the table, even if it wasn't much, and they always made ends meet.

Once Sunny was done, they opened their door quietly and walked over to Abyss’ room, hoping they didn’t bother them. Sunny lightly knocked, looking around. “Hey, you awake?” They whispered.

Abyss heard the knock and looked toward the door, before lighting up when they heard their sibling. They stood up and quickly walked to their door, opening it. "Yeah im awake" they said quietly

"I had a nightmare." Narcia said with a small whimper as she stepped into Nolests room.

Nolest sighed and tapped the far corner of his bed lightly, gingerly scooting off of the bed and standing up. He ran up to Narcia in a split second, hugged her, twirled her around, and bowed. Wincing from the pain of some of his joints cramping, a smile tugged at his mouth. "Well, spill!" he demanded.

Sunny let out a breath. “Good. Can I come in? Someone’s going to catch me if they see me out here.” They asked, looking behind their back at the dark hallways and moving their wings in an uncomfortable manner.

Abyss quickly nodded and moved to let their sibling in, their overgrown wings dragging on the ground
