In a world where Magic is mediated by the Council of Elements, a group of Pirates seek to destroy the curse that bounds magic to law and return magic to its natural state.
In this world, magic used to be a natural thing that everyone had access to. Magic was something anyone could learn or teach, and anyone could use it for whatever they liked. No one owned magic, it was a natural resource that everyone could use. Then a group of people wanted to contain and monitor magic in order to keep order in the world, so they trapped different forms of magic into special gems called Totems. Each Totem would give its owner the ability to wield a specific type of magic, and the Government regulated who received what totem. Thousands of years later, this is still the norm, and the spirits of Nature are not pleased by it.
Magical creatures called Nymphs are the only forms of uncontrolled magic this world has left. The Government attempted to capture and tame them, as they did with the majority of magical creatures, in order to suck their magic and spirit into a totem. However unlike the other creatures, the Nymphs evaded them, and hid away within the world they live to protect.
When C1 was a child, they were the first human to see the tunnels that Nymphs lived in. The Nymphs chose to allow them to enter the tunnels, and they chose C1 to be their saviour. They trained C1 in the ways of true Magic, raising the Orphan to understand the ways of Nature and the ways of freedom. When C1 was an adult, they set out on their journey, ready to take back for nature what the Council stole thousands of years ago.
C1, with the help of C2 (a Nymph and their childhood best friend) as their Firstmate, stole a ship from Sailors of the Council and took it to Libertas, an island run by Pirates. After all, they would need to find a crew to run the ship, and they would need the ship in order to travel between the many Kingdoms.
Once arriving at the island, C1 and C2 meet and recruit C3 (a look out), C4 and C5, crew mates, and C6, a cook. This crew is made up of people who believe that C1 and C2 are merely planning to steal Totems from each Kingdom. They have no idea what their two leaders really have in mind, which is collecting and eventually destroying all Totems. Until then, they allow the crew to use whatever totems they collect, since they’ll need the power to take more. For now they store most of the totems in safes within the ship’s cellar, destroying the contents and freeing the magic whenever it gets full. Of course, they have to go to a deserted island in order to do this, since when the totems are destroyed they release dangerous amounts of natural energy, or powerful creatures of magic that have been frozen in time.
Will the crew discover what their Captain and First Mate are truly up to? And if they do, will they still be as loyal? Will C1 and C2 achieve their goal? Or will they be wiped out?
Meanwhile, C7, C8, C9, C10, and C11 are the Leaders of the Council of Elements, each representing one of the five most powerful Kingdoms. C7 is the ruler of Aqua, which is a large Kingdom built on the Mainland’s coast. Smaller Kingdoms which surround Aqua include Glacies, Nubes, and Sangius. C8 is the ruler of Ignis, which is a large Kingdom built in a valley surrounded by active Volcanoes and hot springs. Smaller Kingdoms which surround Ignis include Fumus, Fulgur, and Spodium. C9 is the ruler of Terra, a large kingdom built within a large maze of canyons and caves. Smaller Kingdoms that surround Terra include Mettalum, Harenae, and Mineralium. C10 is the ruler of Caeli, a large Kingdom built on floating islands, airships, and mountains peaks. Smaller Kingdoms surrounding Caeli include Lux, Tenebris, and Statera. Finally, C11 is the ruler of Vita, the largest Kingdom, built in the mainlands center. C11 is the leader of the Council, and believes themselves to be the leader of all life forms. Smaller kingdoms which surround Vita are Bestia, Viridi, and Morbus.
The Council Members are aware that the Nymphs are trying to break their control over Magic, since Totems have been acting strangely lately, as if the energy inside is waiting for something. The Council just doesn’t know how the Nymphs plan on doing so, which means they have no idea how to stop it. Will The Council pin point the Nymph’s plan? Will they be able to keep or regain the control over magic that their ancestors worked so hard to achieve? -

Which character would you like? You can have as many as you like. I suggest having at least one crew character and one council character, since we’ll switch to the Council’s perspective when we do time skips. -

Just so you’re aware, C9 is the leader of a Kingdom which specializes in the Earth Element. (This includes ground, rock, things like that.)
C6 can have whatever back story or power you desire, as long as they’re a cook willing to work for Pirates. -
Also I’m thinking of making this role play a story on Wattpad, so if we can complete it then I’ll be doing that.

Yes, the crew needs to be Human, as does the Council members. However they can have features that are unnatural for Humans depending on their totem(s).

Alright, usually I take whatever characters are left over, but I suppose for the sake of this plot I’ll take C2 and C11.

Personality: She is very playful and free spirited, with a fair heart and a love for nature. She has a curious and creative mind, a strong appreciation for friendship, and a tendency to be overly trusting of others. Of course, her loyalty comes before her naive nature, and she will always trust those she’s known the longest over those she’s known less or only recently met.

Totem(s)/Powers: She doesn’t have a totem, since she is a nymph. Instead she is able to communicate with Nature and access magic in a natural way rather than in a way of controlling or containing magic. She is usually able to levitate, speak to animals, speak to plants, heal, and turn invisible when frightened. She has large ears that give her great hearing, but it is dampened from covering her ears. She also has wings which could allow her to fly, but they are useless when she keeps them hidden.
Weaknesses/Fears:
- The stone used to create Totems could drain her spirit and magic from her, causing her body to die and her spirit to become a totem.
- When around overwhelming amounts of fire or when too high in the atmosphere she will pass out.
- She’s afraid of losing her connection with nature, losing C2, going back to living life in hiding within the Nymph Tunnels, and being turned into a Totem.
Motivations/Desires:
- Freeing magic and nature from the control of Totems
- Making more friends
- Helping others
- Protecting and guiding C1
Backstory: Silva grew up in the Nymph Tunnels, the only place on Earth where Magic exists as it should. Her best friend throughout her childhood was C1, and the two of them were raised with a great destiny, the destiny of saving Magic from the Council’s control. It would be a difficult journey, but she knew it would be an important one. She doesn’t want C1 to have to do it alone, and besides, she can make more friends along the way.
Other: She hides her ears using a hat and hides her wings under a jacket. This takes away her increased hearing and flying abilities, but she can’t risk others discovering that she is a Nymph. -
