Victor nuzzled her gently. Don't do it again, he pleaded, even though he knew his efforts were fruitless. They had no way of communication. -
“I’m so sorry. I can’t understand you? Is the thing hurting you? Maybe if I get scissors I can cut it out.” She said.

She frowned upon his reaction but backed off. -

Victor cuddled back up against her stomach, seeming relieved. -
Colette took a closer look at his back. The strange things seemed to be...wings?
Colette gave a shocked gasp and slowly crawled away from Victor. -
Victor made a little sound of indignation at her, like, Come back so I can snuggle with you!

Colette took a few deep breaths and slowly moved an arm towards Victor. She squealed when he nuzzled her with his nose.

Victor had slightly lopsided ears that were difficult to notice. Victor dipped his head in a nod and one ear fell onto Colette's lap.

Colette gave a frustrated sigh, but pet Victor behind the ears. “You most definitely are a strange creature.” She observed.
