"Think about how our lives will be when we're away from Axel." Felix said.

"It's not a when," Rasia said quietly. "It's an if."

"I'll make sure it's a when. I promise." Felix said.

Rasia looked up from her once-bitten muffin. How could he be so sure to make a promise like that?

"I always keep my promises." he added.

Somehow that put a little bit of comfort in Rasia's heart, even though she knew it wouldn't be likely for him to keep it. She took another bite out of her muffing. The more she ate the more color came back to her face.

"I'm glad you look a bit better." Felix said.

"Hm? Oh," she said when she realized what he was talking about. She finished her muffin and then started munching on an apple.

Felix smirked. "You must be hungry. Remind me to take you to get something to eat." he said.

"I haven't eaten since...yesterday morning," she said. "And with...everything going on I wasn't having meals regularly before that

"You should've been, it's not healthy to do that." Felix said.

"Yeah, well, kidnapping and all that tends to put meals on the backburner," Rasia said.

Felix chuckled. "I suppose you're right." he said.

Rasia sighed and sank into the couch. "So what's life like for you before now?"

"Well I used to work for a small boy named Turner. He fired me however because I broke one of his toys. I heard that his mom died recently though." Felix said.
