Rasia hoped that they would get to the car before Axel would get to them.

Felix saw the car come into sight. He sighed in relief and asked Rasia, "How far away is Axel?"

Rasia looked behind her to see the car, then forward to see Axel. "The same distance as the car." she said.

"Crud, we won't have enough time to buckle our seatbelts." Felix muttered.

"We have a maniac after us and you're concerned about seatbelts?!"

"Yeah! Safety first." he said.

"Yeah, which means getting away from the lunatic as fast as possible!"

"I know, but what if we got in a wreck?"

(Your characters are obsessed with what ifs)
"The only what if I care about is what if Axel gets us!" -
(They're a tad bit overdramatic)
"Good point." Felix said. They reached the car and he threw the door open and shoved Rasia in. -
Rasia slammed the door shut then watched as Felix got in. She shrank away from the window when Axel started hammering his fists on her window

Felix cursed and tried backing out of the driveway. Axel kept banging on the window.

Rasia kept her eyes averted away from the window but she was trembling uncontrollably

Felix turned to her and gave her a hug. "It'll be okay." he whispered in her ear.

(He can't give her a hug, he's driving)
"But when," she whispered.
