"Not as grand as you thought you were, huh?" Rasia said as she started putting the dishes away.
-
“Thanks to you.” He mumbled.
-
"Just making you see reality," she said. She was surprised at how confident she was acting in this conversation. He had just pointed a gun at her head a bit ago.
-
“Thanks for that. I probably needed to face reality anyways.” Axel said with a smile in her direction.
-
Rasia was becoming uncertain. He wasn't acting the same as he had when he had looked at her with eyes cold as ice and carrying a thousand threats, when he had said he'd kill her, when he had terrified her half to death.
-
“Why so confused?” He asked, looking a little upset at the way she frowned when he smiled at her.
-
"I don't know who you are," she said, looking at him. "Are you the cold-blooded killer or the man that just made me a hot meal and smiled at me and thanked me?"
-
“Probably a mix of both.” He said, not noticing the troubled look on Rasia’s face.
-
Well that didn't make her feel much better. "That doesn't make sense," she said.
-
“I’m a killer, yet I could possibly have a soft spot. Pass me some coffee please.” He said.
-
Rasia silently gave him the coffee pot. How on earth had she hit his soft spot? That's the only explanation she had for how he was acting.
-
“If you’re wondering, you didn’t hit a soft spot. I’m not killing you because you saved my life.” He said, glancing at her.
-
"After you saved mine," Rasia mumbled. "So technically you owe me nothing. I would've kicked you out of the house if you hadn't said that you were staying right after you were about to kill me."
-
“Well now I’m just sad.” Axel said dramatically. He started sulking.
-
"Just stating the facts," Rasia murmured.
