Still no response. The best way to describe it was that Rasia had escaped from everything in the outside world and was hiding safely within herself.

Axel gave her a sad look and picked her up in his arms. “Well, might as well take you home.” He said with a small smile.

"Home..." Rasia whispered. Something about Axel's touch sent something through her...but whatever happened she gave the tiniest of jerks as she came back to reality.

Axel walked down the sidewalk to Rasia’s house. He sighed as he looked down at her in worry.

"I'm sorry," Rasia said, her voice still but a whisper. She was on the verge of tears. "I'm sorry."

“Sorry for what?” He asked in confusion.

"I'm not sure," Rasia said quietly. "I just feel like I need to apologize."

Axel gave her a quick kiss on the forehead. “There is nothing to worry about darling, everything is alright.” He said softly.

"Then why do I feel so afraid?" she said -

“Because you’ve been through a lot. Don’t worry, everything will be better soon.” He said. -
She stepped out of his arms. "I want - I need time," she said, rubbing her neck. She flinched as she hit the fingernail marks that sent shoots of pain up her neck. "Time without - without guns and gangs and kidnapping and death and terror..."

“I understand. How about I fix you up? You look horrible.” He said. “You don’t look horrible! I mean it looks like you need to get treated!” He exclaimed.

"Okay," Rasia said and walked inside her house, leaving the door open for Axel to come through

Axel walked in and closed the door. “Where’s your medical supplies?” He asked.

"In the bathroom," she answered. "I mostly just have bruises."
