(Ok, so a rule in my house when I was little was 'whiny girls go to bed.'
I just imagined Turner saying that to Callyn
And now I regret it)
"Fine," Callyn said, and headed back into the basement. -
(Oof, that's a rule in my house too. The only way I got out of it was to say something funny or weird. Now my little sister experiences it and I shall never tell her how to cheat the rule. >:))
"Oi! Whiny girls go to bed." Turner called after her. -
(Nope no getting out of it for us)
"That sounds so wrong," Callyn said, coming back up with an armload of ingredients. -
(*me realizing what I did* Wait... TAT YOU TRICKED ME, THAT SOUNDS SO WRONG)
Turner immediately realized what he said. "U-Um. Forget what I said!" he exclaimed. -
(I said that I regretted thinking of him saying that!)
"Gladly," she said as she got two pots out. -
(YoU kNoW i Do AlL iDeA's)
Turner took his ingredients to the stove and put some boiling water in the pot. -
"You're not going to make the sauce?" Callyn said, looking at him confused.

Turner smirked. "I add the sauce after I make the spaghetti." he said.

"But the sauce takes much longer to make than the noodles," Callyn said in confusion, looking at the ground meat, tomato paste, and vegetables.

"Tsk tsk little girl, that's what you think." he said, a little unsure of it himself.

"That's what I know," Callyn said. She started browning the meat, adding the appropriate spices to it.

Turner took her advice and made the sauce.

Once the sauce was done Callyn took out a smaller pot for her noodles and waited for the water in it to boil. While she was doing that she fixed the flavoring of the sauce, whether it needed more salt or garlic or oregano, and so on

Turner had decided that he would do two things at once. He put the noodles into the pot of boiling water and then went back over to his sauce. He added some pepper to the sauce and stirred it.

The smell of Turner's sauce wafted over to Callyn. She gave a small cough. "Too much pepper," she said.
