Michael sat in the leather chair that was in his office. He was thinking about the ad he had put in the paper around two weeks ago. So far, no one had responded to it, or even called about it. He wasn't surprised. In this modern day and age, humans weren't as gullible as they once were. As he sar in the office pondering away, little did he know someone across town had just seen the ad. From this one decision, both of their lives would be changed.

Asteria slapped the morning newspaper onto the table carelessly as she got her breakfast. She hardly ever read it, she should probably end her subscription and save herself the money.
She sat down at the table with her breakfast of pancakes with butter and chocolate chips on top, and quickly flipped through the pages of it. If anything caught her eye, she'd look at it, but that didn't happen often.
Something did catch her eye, though. An ad.
Any Wish Can Be Granted*
*for a price
The whole thing sounded off. Any wish at all? Even...what she had been wanting for the past year? The 'for a price' part threw her off too. It sounded more like a threat than a condition.
But Aster knew she would do anything at all to have her older brother back. -
Michael stood up in his office and cracked his knuckles. The new issue was supposed to be out thirty minutes ago, but they were still waiting on a last minute put together by a new hire. He moved quickly out of his office and headed downstairs toward where the new hire would be. He took a deep breath as he approached this area of the building. He opened the main door that lead to a dozen or more cubicles. "Mrs. Calviné!!" He shouted, as the room grew to a hush. Every eye in the room looked toward the back, as a young woman with dirty blonde hair stepped forward, a collection of articles in her arms.

Aster made a decision. She would follow the address in the ad and do it. She didn't exactly know why she was going to, but she would, and that was that. She'd leave later, sometime after she had her breakfast.
-
He made his way toward the young woman and promptly snatched the articles out of her arms. "Thank you, my dear." He said, his voice seething with a slight rage. He left the woman with a bewildered look on her face, and her face turning a light red. As Michael made his way to the office, he could feel the tides in the air changing. He made his way back to the office and waited.
-
After Aster had gotten ready for the day the rest of the way, she got in her car and headed out to where the ad had directed. She knew that things like fortunetelling and things like that were usually just fake, but she might as well just give it a try.
(Where exactly is she going?) -
(There is a really popular newspaper shop. It's a two story building. It doesn't look to fancy on the outside. The front room is where they sell/ship the papers. Behind that is a hallway that has a couple of doors with people working in them, then at the end of the hallway there is a set of stairs that lead to the office. Sorry I didn't specify cx)
As Michael sat there amd waited, his head started swimming in his thoughts. He missed his home, and didn't like being here. It seemed pointless to do the same things day after day. Wake up, go to work, go to sleep, repeat. There was so much more, and even if he was a demon, this made him feel for the poor souls who were stuck in this vicious cycle. Through no fault of there own; of course. -
(Thanks)
Aster pulled up at a newspaper shop. This was one of the last places she'd expect something like wish granting to happen. She took the page with the newspaper ad on it and got out of the car. She hesitated a moment before walking in. If she was at the wrong place, it was just a mistake, nothing to worry about, everyone made mistakes. -
Michael stood up and waited. He could tell she was here. He smirked slightly and made the doors to the shop open. The inside was well lit for Aster to see. There were two people milling about on the inside, there faces deep in concentration. As soon as she stepped inside, they paused and ushered a quick greeting. "If you need anything;" A girl with tussled brown hair spoke. "Don't hesitate to ask!"
-
Asteria watched in surprise as the doors opened with no one there. They weren't the automatic type of doors either. She crossed over the threshold of the building where a young woman approached her. "Actually," she said, and pulled out the sheet of newspaper, "Can you tell me where I go for this?" She pointed to the ad.
