Grimly, Jackson walked to the foot of the stairs. Burying his face in his hands, tears streamed down his face. Finally, he gathered his composure, took a deep breath, and strode up the stairs. -

Leo meowed and laid down -
(Actually, it shoved me into a watering hole where I drowned. The story keeps escalating)
Maxie laid down on the floor and crossed his paws. It was how he napped. Jax had always thought it was cute. -

She scratched Leo's head -

Jax left Maxie downstairs and went upstairs so he could take a snooze himself. Why must everything be so chaotic? he thought as he laid in bed. Gazing up at the ceiling, old memories resurfaced that he didn’t want to think about. Better this than that. -
Vex that makes no sense XD)
Aspen looked at her phone and decided to text Jax everything good? -
(Neither does history. How do we determine that MLK Jr. actually existed and it wasn’t just some tale made up by our grandparents to keep us in line?)
Jax's phone was far from him, and he didn’t hear the ding, so he couldn’t be bothered to respond. Finally, he fell asleep. -
She flopped back into the pillow the urge to cry came back but leo walked on to her chest before she could cry

Aspen got up nearly stepping on flurry -
I was kinda on vacation and forgot about GTQ)
Jax waded through tall weeds in a peaceful meadow. Flowers were all around him. He felt safe here. -

She walks downstairs to find a snack -
Perhaps it could be a good life, sculpted out for him in his meadow, he thought for a moment, but he was a lucid dreamer. He recalled that it was all a dream, and the meadow faded away while he slipped into another dream.
