"But how much time?" Alpha complained. -

"Approximately two days," Bolt answered. "If all goes well, maybe even tomorrow." -

"That seems like a lifetime," Alpha groaned. "Is there anything I can do in the meantime?"

"I'm positive you can come up with something to occupy yourself," Bolt said.

"Oh, fine then," Alpha said rather bitterly, getting up and pacing the room.

"Why do you set your feet apace?" Bolt asked curiously as he continued with building the robotic creature.

"Nervous energy. Pacing gives me something to do," Alpha said sharply.

"What are you nervous about?" Bolt asked.

"Everything!" Alpha said, throwing his hands up. "Do you realize just how flawed our plan is?"

"Yes," Bolt said,"But there's not much we can do about it. "

"Well, I'm going to worry about it," Alpha said, returning to his pacing and mulling over the miracles it would take for the plan to go as, well, planned.

A few hours later Bolt stood up from the dog. If he had been human his bones would have been creaking, but as he was not so, they did not do so. "That is all for tonight," he said. "We will continue tomorrow."
