He placed his hand over his wound gently. It's healing, He thought with encouragement. Soon, he attempted to stand out of bed.

Amelia's eyes opened, but she didn't get up. She was surprisingly comfortable. She was facing the side of the bed that wasn't by Levi, so she didn't know how he fared.

He winced through pain, but continued on, anyways. Soon, he had succeeded. He was in front of his bed, standing.

Amelia flipped over to her other side, only too see Levi standing. She sat up. "What're you doing?" she asked.

"Trying to walk," He replied faintly, firmly placing his right foot in front of him, then his left foot in front of his right.

"I don't think you should..." Amelia said as she got up to stand next to him.

"I can do it, believe me..." He heaved, challenging himself to go further. He repeated what he had done before. Soon, he was walking slowly.

Amelia kept her hand on his arm and walked with him the entire time in case he needed help at all. -

He stretched both his arms out by his sides to balance himself. "Thanks, Amelia," He gratefully nodded to her. -
"I don't even know how you're doing it," Amelia said. "I know that if I got stabbed in the chest and survived it would be much longer before I could get up and walk."

"It's determination," He grunted. "You have no idea how much I've wanted to walk. To get up and stretch my legs, at the least. Staying in bed all day feels like I'm nothing but a lazy lump."

"I think I do have willpower, just not physically," Amelia said. She started humming a tune under her breath.

"I think I can walk." He then announced, now standing all firm, tall, and hesitantly. "Not fully sure yet, though..."

Amelia took a step away from him to give him room and to see if he would walk. She was on her toes, though, in case he would need her. -

He now more confidently gave his walking one last try. Surprisingly, he had succeeded! "I-I can walk..." He gaped.
