Wilson heard his brother, and flinched hearing the tone of his voice. He wrapped his arms around himself as he tried not to cry

Vine ignored him, and licked Wilson's hand affectionately. Nick groaned. They didn't have time for this!

Wilson hiccups slightly and reached out to pet Vine

Shadow, a sleek black cat, nosed the girls curiously, and gave a glare similar to Nick's towards Wilson, which wasn't uncommon- he glared at everyone.

Wilson felt the glares and started crying again

Vine decided to curl up in Wilson's lap and began purring, turning into a warm, rumbly furball.

Wilson hugged Vine

Vine nuzzled his friend. Vine was Nick's cat, but liked Wilson the most- even though the other cats didn't like Wilson that much. "Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr." Vine purred, and rasped his tongue over Wilson's nose.

Adria patted Vine, smiling.

Vine climbed up Wilson's shoulder and sat on his head.
Nick grumbled something about Vine and incompetence. -
Wilson heard his brother and went quiet, appearing sad. Heather whined and licked him, trying to cheer him up

Nick urged Vine closer to him, sending a sharp don't-touch-my-cats glare towards the two girls, and walked away, the cats trailing behind him.

Adria tried not to huff. Nick was really starting to get on her nerves!
