Sundew leaped to her paws.
Hawk fought the shadow, until it yelped in terror and fled away.
"Sundew!" He shouted, swiftly limping towards her. "Are you alright!?" He rushed by her side, looking to see marks of deep wounds on her neck. He breathed in terror silently. Was she okay? -
Ember ran towards the two of them. "How badly are you all hurt? What was that?" She asked.

"We don't know." Hawk growled, protectively standing in front of Sundew as she coughed gobs of blood out.

"I brought a little of all my herbs." She mewed. "She seems to be coughing blood, so she'll need to eat a little yarrow so it can all get out of her system. For her wounds, she'll need marigold, comweb and a leaf on top."

Sundew cowered a little, before leaning against Hawk.
"Thank you, Ember." Hawk sighed his thanks. -
After dressing Sundew''s wounds, she grabbed poppy seed. "Sundew, eat these. It'll help you sleep the rest of the night." She handed her two seeds. "Now you two go back to the den. I'll guard the camp overnight."

Hawk faltered. "Woah, woah, woah!" He snarled. "I'll guard Sundew and the camp overnight!"
Sundew nodded to Ember in thanks, before nibbling the poppy seeds up. -
Ember stalked towards him until their noses met. "I am in charge, and I will guard camp." She hissed.

He hissed back, his tail swishing back and forth. "Whoever made you in charge!? I'm the strongest one here, at the moment!"

"Just because you're the strongest doesn't make you leader! I put this camp together. I put this territory together. I'm the one who's been keeping your girlfriend alive for the past moon! And if you can't accept that, then you're going to have to leave." She said, unsheathing her claws with a snarl.

He gasped defensively. "One, Sundew is not my girlfriend! Two, all I wanted to do was guard the camp! Three- I will!" He barked, before swiftly padding away. He then came to an abrupt stop. "Sundew, you coming?" He called.
Sundew felt hurt by both of their words. Why did they always have to argue? Why were they both trying to be the leader? She just didn't understand why this was happening. -
"Sundew stays. For one, I found her and have been keeping her safe. She's my friend. Two, you know nothing about herbs, and I was going to give her something in the morning that's pretty dang rare and I'm not telling you what." She said.

Hawk bared his teeth threateningly. "She gets to make her own decisions!" He paused. "You know nothing about me, you fool!"

"Yes, she does. And she's known me longer. But if she wants to go, I don't give a piece of fox-dung. I obviously can't trust anyone." She hissed, and poked her head in the den. "Well? Are you going with your fox-hearted friend?!" She hissed to Sundew.

Sundew shivered, glancing at both Hawk and Ember, back and forth, before she felt extremely overwhelmed. "I don't know!" She yowled, before rushing away with her paws pounding on the dirt.
