Riverpelt chuckled. "She's right over there."

She ran over to her. "Riverpelt told me to do battle training with you!"

Snagclaw purred, her sleek gray pelt glistening in the sun. "Did he now?" she said pleasantly. "In that case, let's go!"

Streampaw followed her to the training area.

"Then can we go?" Seedpaw asked.
Snagclaw nodded. "Let's start. What do you want to learn first?" -
"Ok. You pick where you want to go."
"Ooh, what about defensive skills?" Streampaw suggested. -
"I can't choose," Seedpaw protested. "I'm not good at choosing."
"Alright, get into this position," Snagclaw said, low to the ground. -
"You need to learn to." Sproutgrowth urged. "It's a necessary skill to become a warrior."
Streampaw copied how she looked. -
"Why?" Seedpaw said, waving his paws through air.
"When I pounce at you, brush your paw against my underbelly," Snagclaw instructed. "Claws sheathed. Try to keep your stance." -
"Navigation is important. Plus, you need to know where to go if you ever lead a patrol." She explained.
"OK, ready!" Streampaw mewed, getting ready. -
"Alright then," Seedpaw said. "Ladies first. I still don't know the territory that well. I'm a new apprentice, remember?"
Snagclaw pounced at Streampaw. -
Sproutgrowth gave her apprentice a disapproving look. "You test new spots, and see what works best. I was going to let you go hunting on your own today, and see what you bring back. I will watch from afar, and you will hunt from dawn until dusk. At the end of the day, I will tell you what we need to work on. It's like a pre-assessment. You start now."
Streampaw dug her claws into the ground, but then fell over. -
Seedpaw flicked his tail in an irritated fashion, before padding off.
"Hmm," Snagclaw said. "You did good, but that won't work later on. Try ducking underneath me." -
Sproutgrowth waited until he was gone, then followed his scent until he found him stalking a squirrel. She made sure he wouldn't smell or see her as she watched closely.
"Ok, let's try again. I think I'm ready now." She mewed. -
Seedpaw waited until the last moment to catch the squirrel, killing it instantly. His gaze swept the undergrowth before he bounded off.
Snagclaw got into a pouncing position and then jumped at Streampaw.
