The year is is now 3176, North America and south America Have been forever changed and is now a Land full of Ruthless blood thirsty Nations.
Nation name: The Grand Republic Of Cascadia
Total population: 25 Million
Rise of the Nation!
A new era has begun in North America, The Rise of the Grand Republic Of Cascadia.
Nation Flag: A Red, White and Blue flag with the words "THE RULER IS GOD" in black letters on a blue background.
New National Anthem: "God Bless America" by Michael Jackson.
The Nation's first act was to create a new constitution that would make it more democratic, less authoritarian and more open minded. It also gave all people the right to bear arms. This was with mixed feelings from most citizens but it was seen as a necessary step to protect the new republic from invasion.
The nation has since branched out from Cascadia into the other parts of North America and has annexed sections of Mexico and up to southern canada. Parts of Arizona, Nevada and new mexico have been annexed by the republic.
The nation has set its sights on California next and is planning on taking that from the Empire. This worries the Republic's citizens as they know how powerful the empire is but the president promises that victory will be quick and not many will die.
A program for a new super weapon is underway and the nation's scientists and engineers are working on a way to harness the power of an exploding star. The plan involves taking a nuclear bomb and heavily shielding it and then having it shot into the sky and detonated. This will hopefully start a chain reaction in the atmosphere that will cause an artificial star to appear in the heavens. This is all hypothetical and if it isn't successful the bomb may simply blow up in the sky and have the opposite effect. Still, it's worth a shot and the nations scientists believe they will be successful.
There is another, smaller project that the nations engineers are working on, this one not as popular among the public. The idea is to use captured enemy weapons and technology for their own gain. The first idea was to reverse engineer the weapons and use those for their own armies but this idea was scrapped pretty quickly. The nations engineers still have a way to go before they can understand Empire weapons well enough to reproduce them.
Nation name: The Empire Of California
Population: 45 million

The Empire of California was formed after the fall of the United States. It encompasses all of southern California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. After the fall of the United States a power struggle began between the southern states with California trying to take all of the land while the other southern states tried to break away.
A charismatic leader named Travis Walker began leading his group of freedom fighters to victory after victory against the other southern states and eventually California itself. This led to California willingly joining the Empire under Walker's leadership.
The Empire of California is a totalitarian state ruled by its charismatic leader Travis Walker. He has a powerful secret police that keeps the population in line. The secret police are trained in martial arts and are very ruthless to any enemy of the state.
Since joining the Empire California has seen great improvements with roads being built all over, a great education system and plans for interplanetary travel. The people are happy and united and any enemy of the state will be crushed mercilessly.

The Republic of North California broke away from the Empire of California due to philosophical differences. The small repulic embraces much of the socialism present in the old United Republic with public ownership of property. The military is small but well trained and equipped. Since the split from California the Republic has allied with Canada and the two nations have become close trading partners. In the last few years the Republic has begun investing in space travel in hopes of colonizing other worlds.
Created by Mr. After a long cold war with the Empire of California it has recently collapsed due to the death of Travis Walker but the Republic has no interest in reuniting the states, at least not yet.
The leaders of the republic believe that California will eventually attack them and so a new secret police force is being trained to protect the state from within should the need arise. Vast missile silos and hidden military centers are built.
The population is content, united and ready for war if needed.
Nation Name: The Theocracy Of New Deseret
Population: 40 million
New National Anthem: "God's Gonna Cut You Down" By Johnny Cash
Theocracy of New Deseret is made up of newly acquired land in southern California, Nevada, Arizona and northern Mexico. This is a brand new nation with only one factor in its favor, faith. The religious majority here is Christian of all flavors from Catholic to Protestant to Mormon. This mixed with the lingering ideology of states' rights means that the new nation has a strong sense of patriotism and nationalism.
The president and high commander of the military is named Henry Nakamura, he takes a hawkish approach to foreign affairs. He regularly speaks on the benefits of faith in God and shows off the armies' latest weapons. He is loved by the people and supported by the church.
The military is a force to be reckoned with being one of the few with jet planes and well equipped, trained and supplied soldiers.

Nation Name: The Confederacy Of Free States
Population: 30 million
New National Anthem: "Simple Man" By Lynyrd Skynyrd
The Confederacy of Free States seceded from what they considered an increasingly oppressive, tyrannical, and Godless Union. Due to its location and the fact that most of the citizens held guns there was very little fighting, just a building takeover.
The Confederacy of Free States Consists of Missouri, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and West Virginia declaring their independence and cutting off the Midwest from the Eastern part of the old USA.
The governments of these states are mixed. Some are dictatorships, some are oligarchies and some are democracies. However, all of them are hostile to the New Union.
This is due to the fact that the Confederacy was built around the idea of bringing the old USA, only better. The leaders of the new Confederacy are open about the fact that they don't think the new system got off to a good start.
With the new tensions boiling over into real fighting, the Confederacy is looking to take back land in the east and aren't letting anything stand in their way.
The Confederacy has declared the Union to be an illegitimate, repressive government and has stated that they are the true inheritors of the Dream Of America.
They will have to fight the Confederacy sooner or later.
In the meantime there are rumors of a new religion, almosta cult, called the Followers Of The Dawn that have been gaining prominence in the Confederacy states.
N.D. officials worry that these might radicals that desire to secede from the Confederacy and restart the War of Independence,this time with themselves in charge of the new nation.
Also there are rumors that they engage in religious/racial persecution as part of their beliefs.
Nothing has been proven but they are definitely a group to watch.

The new nation is a constitutional Federal Republic with strong Liberterian influences. It is a relatively poor nation but it has large factories and a well equipped army.
It has moderate relations with the North but bad ones with the Confederacy.
It hopes to one day bring democracy and enlightenment to the South.
The states in the New Union are: New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Delaware.
It contains several renamed cities, for instance Washington D.C is now known as City Fifteen. Philadelphia is known as City Four. New York is City One and so on.
The New Union's military consists of the police, border patrols, an army and a small fleet of ships.
The current leader is a man by the name of Victor Williams. He was popular Mayor of City Four before he became leader. He got the top job after he held several districts together during a failed rebellion. He is a dedicated reformer and has declared that the New Union takes responsibility for the evils of slavery and other human right abuses. He has passed several acts for racial justice and other reforms.
Since his taking office, he has strengthened the military, doubled the size of the police force and granted himself the power to suspend constitutional rights during emergencies.
He is currently focused on fighting the Confederacy. He sees an opportunity to reunite the people west of the Mississippi under one Democracy.
The New Union has declared war on the south in order to reunite the USA, it's current state.

A bizarre combination of Caribbean, North American and Latin cultures with a heavy Spanish and English influence.
The population of the F.C.U, as it's sometimes known, is mostly a mixed race people. It has it's own version of the English language based on a mixture English, Spanish and African dialects. It is a largely poor country with heavy emphasis on religion, especially Catholicism.
The F.C.U is a corrupt authoritarian state. It's leader, General Salvador Vasquez has been in power for over twenty five years and shows no sign of ever giving up the reins of power.
F.C.U. has poor relations with The New Union. The New Union's attempts at large-scale social engineering and heavy handed military policies disgust the F.C.U which sees it as an attempt by the New Union to dictate the F.C.U's internal policies.
The F.C.U. has an estimated ten thousand soldiers facing the New Union's forty thousand.
The F.C.U's military is slightly better equipped but not by much. The F.C.U's main strength lays it's large navy which gives it access to the Atlantic, Pacific and Caribbean regions.
The F.C.U,'s government is somewhat of a pseudo-democratic military dictatorship. The Leader of the country is the General who is usually elected by the public in a process of five year terms. The system is currently run by the General's descendent by the name of Salvador.
The National Flag consists of a gold stripe at the top, below it is blue stripe with white stripes below that.
The gold stands for the wealth and riches of the owners of the country, the blue stands for the oceans that bring these riches and the white stands for the purity of the people and their strong Catholic faith.
The National Motto is the same as that of Spain: Plus Ultra which means further beyond.
The F.C.U's relation with the Confederacy Is Probably the best out of all its relations. The two countries trade heavily with each other. The F.C.U shares the Confederacy's distrust of the New Union which the two countries have fought against several times.
The F.C.U has the most technologically advanced weapons systems and one of the largest air forces in the world.
However due to it's authoritarian nature, it has bad relations with most of the world.

The U.T.M as it is sometimes known was created in 2150 with the merger of the American and Mexican states of Texas and has since grown to acquire all of central and southern North America. The U.T.M is one of the most stable and scientifically advanced governments on the continent.
The U.T.M also has good relations with the Confederacy. The U.T.M is a representative democracy with elections for the head of state every five years.

Canada was very badly hit by the nano plague and had an extremely high fatality rate. However prior to it's collapse it had built up a very large population in the millions, and most of these survived as refugees fled there from all parts of the globe.
The G.R.C originally existed as a collection of Inuit communities and native Canadian wildernesses. After the plague it grew as millions of people emigrated there in a bid to escape the plague. Eventually it's population became too large to remain independent and it declared independence from what was left of the United States Of America which was in complete anarchy.
The G.R.C is still commonly known by many as "Canada" and has grown to become one the most powerful forces in North America.
The G.R.C's military is small, but it makes up for it with it's extremely large navy, and reputation for arming civilians and training them to defend their homeland.
The G.R.C is neutral with most nations, but has a hostile stance towards the Confederacy due to high levels of trade with it as well as belligerent attitudes towards the G.R.C upon trading.
The G.R.C's current leader is known as the "Lieutenant" and is regarded as a sort of monarch and rock star figure by most people in the nation.
The G.R.C's relationship with the N.U is one of cautious respect.
The G.R.C's relationship with the F.C.U is hostile due to the F.C.U.'s close relationships with the Confederacy which the G.R.C see as a significant threat.
The G.R.C has a large and well equipped army, navy and air force. It also has a large stockpile of weapons of mass destruction.
The G.R.C sees the Confederacy as a volatile threat due to it's aggressive foreign policy and large size.
The G.R.C views the N.U as a valued ally due to their similar values and opposition to the F.C.U and Confederacy.
The G.R.C has a severe dislike of the U.T.M due to beliefs that they have be -
