"She probably will," Phillip pointed out.

"Oh well," Phil said finally. "If she does find out about you, she'll probably think she's just seeing things."

"Who knows," Phillip answered.

Phil flopped onto his bed with a groan. "This whole thing is way too complicated."

"I don't think we can hide this from her forever," Phillip said

"But she can't find out!" Phil said. "It's too...weird."

"And what if she does?" Phillip asked.

"Then we'll be in big trouble," Phil said.

"Wonder what she'll do," Phillip said.

"Good question," Phil replied. "Let's not find out."

Phillip let out a small laugh at that. "Let's not."

The sound of glass shattering alerted Phil to his senses. His mother's gaze was darting between the two with a horrified expression, a cup broken into pieces at her feet. He had forgotten to close the door.

Phillip and Phil looked at each other at the exact same time then back at their mother, unsure of what to do.
"Uhh...hi," Phillip said uncertainly. -
Mom's face was pale and she fell back against the wall, lifting up a trembling hand and pointing. "W-Which of you is my son?"
Phil shrugged. "Technically both of us, but I'm your son from this universe." -
"You can tell by the accent," Phillip offered.
