She peered over her shoulder to see a distant ghostly light. Filled with panic, she rubbed her hands against the concrete floor to get them cold. It left her with a few scrapes, but it did work.
-
Ink twisted around to land on his feet, moving into a roll to lessen the impact as at the same time his blades found their targets. The gathered monsters screamed in rage and the wounded ones moved to attack him while the rest rushed for the portal. Ink snarled, his eyelights shifting to red warning signs as he sent more blood-paint blades at the attackers
-
Glisstening frost began to form on her hands. She began to feel the rising freezing temperature, but she didn't care. What even was this thing!?
-
Horrific monsters of all shapes and sizes started bursting through her side of the portal, most immidietly taking off into the surrounding area but a few started attacking things
Ink hissed as one monster got close, ducking under a claw swipe and then making a spear and stabbing it, only to cry out as he was stabbed by anothers stinger. -
She gasped in terror as she realized it was a portal of some sort. Monsters of all sorts spilled out the center of it, immediately searching to destroy things, it seemed. She leaped off the thick concrete wall, before shooting her frost spells, freezing any monsters that got in her way. She knew it wasn't enough, as they continued to come.
-
Ink swiftly killed the one that stung him, starting too feel dizzy from blood loss. He growled to himself and shook his head, running for the portal. He saw several large runes along the edge, and tried to break one. A bird like monster got in his way, hitting him with a wing and sending him head first into a rock. He slowly got back to his feet, blood now flowing from the hole his his skull to gather in his brush, before he sent a flood of blades at the bird and the runes. The bird shrieked in pain as it was pushed through the portal, landing dead on the other side
-
She continued to shoot ice at the monsters, now along with trapping them in the roots of trees. Agh! She thought, panicking. This is completely useless!
-
Ink swayed in place, the now damaged runes sparking angrily as he stumbled closer, the last of the monsters darting through. He watched the portal waver, and then let himself fall into it, grunting as he hit the ground on the other end. He heard fighting and the angry sounds of monsters, so he tried to get up
-
She crushed a skeleton's skull, before it started running around like a headless chicken. Clenching her teeth, she grunted as she lifted a gigantic tree. She then threw it, which had crushed a great amount of monsters... But not nearly enough.
-
Ink managed to get up, using his brush as a crutch. He vaugly noticed that he couldnt see out of his right eyesocket, but didnt have enough paints left in his system to care. He blinked, his eyelights changing to blank white rings whenhe noticed the human before jolting into motion, sending a blood spear at a canine monster that was creeping up on her. At this point most of the monsters were eather dead, trapped, or had escaped
-
She looked behind her to see a huge canine, which looked like a werewolf. This could be the end! She wasn't prepared! It swiftly ran towards her. Unexpectedly, a spear drenched in blood impaled the monster's head. She looked over to see a distant figure, but couldn't really make out what it was.
-
Ink swayed for a few seconds and then fell to the ground as the portal shut, his brush clattering free from his grip and the blood loss and head injury caught up to him
-
She noticed a fellow citizen being tormented - possibly eaten - by monsters! She leaped down from a high ledge, crushing the ground below her. She impaled a zombie with an icicle spear, before she realized the citizen had now turned into a monster, as well...
-
Ink fought to stay awake, weakly pawing at his sash untill a small brush and the vial of green paint came free. He shakily uncorked the vial and dipped the brush in, lifting the brush to the hole in his skull. He carefully painted over it, the paint flowing off the brush and forming new bone
-
Her heart rate increased as she panicked even more. What if she failed her people? What if all hope was lost? Everything around her now seemed like a big if.
