Yancy nodded and desummoned her horse which collapsed into a pile of bones. Jon asked "Why'd you do that?" Yancy said "I already said magic doesn't work in the forest. It would have collapsed anyway. Even if it didn't, a horse is worse than useless climbing a mountain."

Sgrios just nodded and started walking

As Yancy entered the forest, Jon went off. The forest was full of creatures that never use magic but also never really act passive. One wrong move tot he wrong animal and it could be all over for everyone.

Sgrios shivered a little as they entered the forest, his eyes dimming somewhat

(Have you heard anything from Kat lately? I'm getting worried.)
Yancy walked and asked "How are you feeling?" -
No :( )
"Cold, mostly" Sgrios said as he flicked his tail -
(Well, I hope she's okay.)
Yancy said "Yeah, I do too. That's what happens when magic users enter this forest. Thankfully, it won't take long to get through all this."

Sgrios just nodded in agreement, looking around -
(It happens. At least it's only one, and it'll go away in 90 days.)
Yancy just kept walking until she heard a buzzing sound. -
Sgrios stopped at the sound, his ears perking up as he looked for the source

Yancy looked up and saw the Kuiper bug. The only docile creature in the forest. Unless provoked, the beetle will pay no mind to anything except for the sap on the trees.

Sgrios tilted his head at the bug in mild confusion

Yancy said "Stay calm. Kuiper bugs will only attack if they smell something sweet. And we don't have anything sweet."

Sgrios nodded in understanding "alright" he said

Yancy just started at the bug and said "Be careful and just keep moving."
