Echolight peered up at the dawning sky. It would be night, soon, she knew. It had been a long while since Starclan had sent her a message, and she hoped one would come, soon.

It was time for Royalheart's vigil, so he sat silently, his keen eyes sweeping over the camp.

Her eyes caught on Royalheart. She respectfully nodded towards him, before padding silently away.

Swiftfoot's emerald eyes were locked on a rabbit. She caught it swiftly, true to her name, and returned back to camp.

Lightpaw stared at Royalheart's floofy fur.

Swiftfoot's apprentice, Pebblepaw, was watching Lightpaw. He pounced on her. "Gotcha!" he said triumphantly. "What were you lookin' at?"

Suddenly, something knocked her over. "HEY!" She hissed, leaping to her paws. "Oh- It's just you." She relaxed a little. "Please don't tell anyone about this- but... I love Royalheart."

"You...what?" Pebblepaw said. "You're kidding, right? He's WAY older than you, and you barely know him!"

"But I DO know him!" She protested, her claws sheathing and unsheathing in a repeated pattern.

"Does he like you back?" Pebblepaw said.
