Addison stood in front of her grandmother's casket and cried. She could feel the tears as they made their way down her face. She didn't understand how the world could be so cruel. How life could be so cruel. This was the woman she had spent time with for years. Whom she had shared stories with, and drank iced lemonade on the front porch. She sighed, and placed a jar atop of her casket. The jar held scented oils, and a paper that held some secrets they had talked about for years. The bottom was littered with amethyst and white quartz. Addison looked down at her feet and sighed.
The jar was for herself, more than anything else. As she stepped back from the casket she was approached by someone. They handed her a small box, and rambled on about this being her inheritance. She was slightly confused, but opened the box.Insode Onsode was resting a small green ring. It looked as if it had been carved from jade, or adventurine. Underneath the ring was a note in her grandmothers handwriting. Beware the Fool that Wears Them All
She thought upon the words for a moment and shook her head. Were there more rings? She shook her head for a moment, clearing her head off all of her thoughts. The funeral procession was almost over. The shock still hung in the air, just like the day she had been told. -
At a close look to her own ring, Addison would see that the ring was one which her Grandmother always wore. She would always protect it, and sometimes she'd let you wear it for a short while. When that happened, many good things would happen to you, then things would go back to normal once the ring was returned.
Miley sighed, looking around at her siblings. If any of these guys knew what the ring meant, it would probably be Addison. She was the closest to Grandma after all. "Hey, Addison, do you know anything about this- oh you got one too." Miley asked, looking at the ring that Addison got. "Mines supposed to bring me friends and true love or some s--- like that, they're probably some sort of lucky charm or something." Miley chattered as she examined the purple ring.
Deciding to at least have some respect for his grandmother, Travis put on his red ring and placed the box into his pocket. Once he did so, he felt a rush of strength wash over him, causing him to feel refreshed, safe, and confident in himself. He wasn't sure where this rush of confidence came from, and for a minute he considered it was the ring, but of course, that's be ridiculous... Right? -
Ink tucked the note into one of his many pockets and then picked up the ring, holding it close to inspect it. Its looked so be gold, but something seemed weird about it. He eventually decided to put it on to see if it would fit his thin fingers, only to blink in surprise when a strange feeling washed over him
-
Ronin held the ring up to the light. The sapphire center caught it and washed over him in its blue shadow. He slipped it onto his finger and was enveloped by a strange feeling.
Almost instantly, things that he had puzzled over became clear to him. He staggered for a moment, overwhelmed, before straightening up again. There was another note.
I believe you'll know how to use it, it said. He could envision Grandma now, smiling as she said the words. He reread the note.
"You're right, Grandma," Ronin said. "I do." -
Addison slipped the ring over her index finger, and the calmness that had swept over her as a child made its way across her mind once more. Maybe, even though today was full of greivances, something good would come of it. As she got carried away into the feeling, a voice interrupted her thoughts. It was Miley, looking at her ring, then Addison. She had an idea, but didn't know if it would work. She could tell the others the stories their Grandmother told her when she was younger. Of course, at the time, Addison just played it off as stories that she could go to sleep to.
Now she realized the true reason why the stories were told to her. Just in case one of the others decided to get to greedy with their newfound gifts. "Meet me at my house after the funeral. Get the others if you wish. It's urgent." Addison turned away from the casket, and the others. She sighed, and marched herself outside the funeral home. This isn't how she anticipated this day going. Not at all, but she should have known that her Grandmother would have something up her sleeve. She always did.
As Addison walked away from the funeral home, her heart pounded in her chest, as tears flowed down her cheeks. She still didn't understand the full reason why her Grandmother had died, and so suddenly. But now, she was curious. Did it have anything to do with these rings, and if so, what? -
Miley looked at her sister in confusion, but as much as her sister often confused her, she knew Addison out of all of them would know their grandmother best. So, with this in mind, she put on her ring and went to get the others. After she put on the ring, however, she felt an odd feeling rush over her, and she noticed that many people gave her a second glance as she walked by. That... That's never happened before...
Travis was staring at the ring in confusion as he felt this strength come over him, but his thoughts were interrupted when Miley approached him. "Hey sis, how's it going?" He asked. "Uhm... Confusing, but judging by that ring on your finger, you already knew that." Miley sighed. "Uhm... Addison said we should meet at her house after the funeral." Miley told him. "Do I have to go?" Travis asked. "No, but Addison knows more about grandma than the rest of us. Chances are she knows what the hell these are." Miley told him. After awhile of silence, Travis nodded. "Alright, I'll come." He replied. Miley nodded and went to tell the others. -
(Go ahead an skip me this round hurting to much to think of long response)

Ronin went to go find his siblings, to see if they too had received a mysterious ring.
(Sorry it's not long, I just can't think of a better response now) -
Addison made her way down the sidewalk, and stood next to her parked car. It wasn't anything extravagant, but it definitely got from point A to point B. She opened the drivers side door, and sat down into the seat. She wasn't ready to have this conversation with her siblings. That all on its own was a huge responsibility. One that she wasn't sure she could handle.
She put the key into the ignition and cranked the car up. There was only one way to do this, and no time was greater than the present.
(I have bad service where I am. I apologize for the late response.)
