Iggie tried to make himself as thin as possible so as to provide less wind resistance.

Hollow tilted his head to look back

The baby was still wailing, kicking its feet and smacking its shovel against the sand. Iggie shuddered. "I don't want to imagine how big its parents must be."

Hollow nodded in agreement as he slowed a little

Goldie's feet were tucked in and his tail was between his legs. He licked Hollow's face, whining.

Hollow blinked at the canine in confusion beforw gently nuzzling his head

Goldie's tail untucked and he relaxed, nuzzling him back. Iggie watched the moment with a smile on his face.

Hollow cooed softly at the dog as he slowed to a walk

Goldie made a snuffling noise, booping his face against Hollow. Iggie wriggled out of Hollow's arm and landed solidly on the ground before following him.

Hollow chittered softly and then set the dog down

Goldie padded at Hollow's side, his tail wagging and his tongue lolling out.

Hollow squinted happily at the canine

Iggie's heart was about to explode, but it wasn't like he was going to show it. He fixed his face firmly into a gruff expression.
