Xander nodded. "Nice to meet you." he looked Caius in the eye. He looked as if he had his doubts about the endeavor, but who wouldn't? The entire workd was at stake. "As you know, there are very few leads as to where the shard is, but I think it would he best to go to the scene of the incident." Xander took a deep breath. He thought if anything were to show up, it would be in the throne room of the Shard.

Caius nodded in agreement, they had to start somewhere and that was the best lead to this after all. "Sounds like a plan." He spoke. "Hopefilly there'll be something helpful there for us." It was the best option that they had.

Xander made his way down the hall, and stepped into an elevator. He pushed the button for the first floor, and stepped inside. The walls of the elevator were sleek and grey. And had symbols etched on the wall. They were sigils of protection, just in case something happened. Xander took a deep breath. He had no idea the limit of Caius' power, so he wasn't sure what course of action they should take once they found someone. As the elevator traveled downward, Xander watched Caius, studying his posture. He was nervous to ask if he was practiced in contolling his power. If he was, there was a possibility that he could teach Xander.

Caius followed Xander to the elevator, getting in along with the other man. He stood there, slightly leaning against the wall as they waited for it to come to its stop. He saw Xander watching him from the corner of his eyes, raising an eye at that. "Something i can help you with?" He asked after a few moments, raising the shades he had up to his forehead and staring back towards him.
