Cross sighed and started walking home

"I can't rush stitches." Nori said.

"Mmkay," Prism said. "I'm going to have a word to whoever gave me that extra patrol."

Cross looked up at the sky, looking a little worried before he continued walking

Nori started carefully and neatly with the stitches and covered them with Band-Aids as he went.

Prism waited quietly, running one hand over her broken wing.

Cross soon arrived at his house and went inside

Nori felt guilty even though it wasn't his fault.

Prism saw his expression. "It'll be fine, really."

Cross sighed and took his jacket off to clean and fix it

"but it's not fine, you lost your wing." Nori said.

"I'm sure other northerners have lost wings before," Prism reassured him. "I'll just ask around."

Cross started working on getting the blood out of his jacket

"But wings are a rare trait here." Nori said.

"Exactly," Prism said. "I'll survive without one."
