Andromeda was waiting in high anticipation to see the outside of the domes.
-
-
-
Marcy sat timidly, but her questions were getting the better of her. "What do we do when we get out? Do we get any more... any more instructions?"
-
"Yeah okay, thanks for the warning," Dion said as he put away the knife. He sat back and allowed himself a moment to relax. All this anticipation and excitement could wear a man down.
-
There were no more answers when the transport stopped. The scientists waiting outside of it calmly showed the all-terrain rover they would be driving for the entire mission. Along with the driver seat, there was three passenger seats and the driver seat had various buttons for various things. A scientist said "Agent Delta (Alex), since you scored the highest on the intelligence test, you shall drive the rover."
-
"Well, shoot," Andromeda said. "I suppose there's no shotgun to call on this thing, is there?"
-
Marcy whimpered a bit at the lack of an answer, and turned her attention to the rover. "That's a Lotta buttons. Do you know how to drive this thing?"
-
Dion paces around the rover, checking it out with great interest as the rest of the team asks questions. He whistles, impressed. "Wonder what model this is.." he murmurs to himself.
-
Alex got into the driver's seat and said "I'm sure I'll know what to do. I'll learn as we go if I don't. Let's just go already." Calista sat in the seat behind Alex and said "Don't rush everything. Nothing will get sorted."
-
Andromeda hopped in, popping her first aid kit open to assess her items.
-
Marcy clambered inside and sat down, trying to get comfortable in the small seat. The whole rover felt a little cramped to her, which did little to calm her nerves.
-
Dion clambered in after Marcy and shut the door behind him. "All set," He alerted Alex. He wondered what it would look like outside of the dome. History books and pictures could never compare to seeing it with your own eyes.
-
Alex showed a thumbs-up for the scientists outside and they began getting out of the way. Alex started the rover's engine and the scientists opened a large door in front of the rover. Alex drove the rover forward and out into the Earth to start the adventure.
Outside, Earth was hardly recognizable from it's former self. The ground looked red and organic-like with strange plants and the bones of former species seen on Earth 300 years ago. And though it was eternal night, there was enough light from the sun to illuminate all of this in a dim, red hue. -
"Woah," Andromeda said, her eyes widening as she took in the mysterious landscape.
