"Well that makes no sense," Annie said. "It's only natural to defend yourself."

"but it was a god, a very influential god at that." Engle said.

"It's not fair," Annie said in a small voice.

"if ya think about it, it's not supposed ta be fair." Engle said

"It should be," Annie said, before rapping her knuckles against one of the reflective panels. "So, how do we get out?"

"we have to get through the maze." Engle said.

Annie nodded. "Let's do it."

"it's not very easy, we can't use magic here and there are guards that will break one of your limbs and drag you back to the start if they see you." Engle said.

"But...they can't see us," Annie interjected. "This is a memory, right?"

"they're god made guardians, they can see everything." Engle said.

Annie shuddered. "Okay. Let's get out of this place."

"yeah, I always need to get out." Engle said.

Annie peered around corners and slipped around them, trying to stay out of sight.

While they walked a small child followed them stealthily

After a while, Annie heard a quiet footstep and whirled around. "Ah!" she exclaimed.
