Think about Zombie movies and about monarchies.
Since the world is in ruin we'll need to fix essencial buildings and also find spots to raise farm animals and grow crops. -

Yes, but we'd also need anyone else with a skill in essential things. Doctors, veterinarians, electricians (if you want electricity, that is), teachers, etc.

well this all depends on how old the community is (we should also discuss a name)
like if it's a yearish old, we might not have people with the proper experience to have electricity (or anything other than basic lighting), & the people who do can teach classes so others know the stuff -

We can live without electricity, we have candles, the sun and fires for warmth and light. And anyone can learn to build acceptable homes.What we'd need to focus on was keeping the zombies away and growing crops.Adults can teach children the things that they'd actually need to know like how to read and write and basic math.

a few adults teach a bunch of kids, so their parents can be useful in other areas -

How many people are in the kingdom though? I can't imagine there'd be very many kids (because zombies) but maybe teenagers? We could have teens teach the few surviving children while the adults work. A 16 year old is going to know all the basic things. -
if it's a modern day thing, should we really have kings? how about President/Leader??
Maybe we can start off the roleplay with finding a location temporarily unaffected by the zombies.. then proceed to uilding walls.. shelter.. croplands. Slowly we can advance towards the modern aspects like doctors, electricians.. -
That is a good point. What if that place has SOME zombies, but not many so they are easily disposed of? Has anyone else ever noticed how in zombie movies there are no normal doctors just vets?

we should start off with a group of about 20? randomly adding people to the group until we "find" the spot we want -

Maybe have one adult there for a while to make sure the children know what they are doing? I can do that. I'm great with kids for some reason.
We'll need laws. And that will include a way to control population. If we have too many people at one time, we won't be able to feed everyone. -
