"That does sound nice," I said. "I usually do something sporty-ish."

"Okay," I said. I spotted a deer trail, and started going down that path.

I looked around, taking in the chatter of the forest.

I'm a fast hiker. I sped down the path. Then the path ended. I stopped and looked around me, seeing if I could make out a path. I did, and started heading that way.

I continued at a steady pace along with Kat and Eggaly, conserving my energy and relaxing.

Soon I look behind me. I'm not even out of breath, and the others are way behind me. "SLOWPOKES!!" I yell.

I poke my tongue out at Tat.

I stood there and waited for them to catch up. This was what happened when you climb mountains and go camping with our nature-crazy aunt, and hike off-trail all the time.

I enjoyed the nice fresh air and spotted a squirrel. "Ooh, lookit."

"HURRY UP!" I say, exasperated. I want to get going!

"Patience is a virtue," I teased.

I raised my eyebrows. "Where did you get the impression that I was a patient person?" I said.

"Nowhere," I said. "But that makes it even more of a virtue then."

"Or it's just an excuse for being slow," I said.

"Nonetheless, it's importance is one hard to demean," I replied.
