The Groupchat
Many friend groups like to create groupchats to keep in touch or be able to contact each other all at once. Whether they want to share their feelings or spam memes constantly, the groupchat usually helps the friends bond when they can’t see each other in real life.
The time period is 2020. The world is experiencing the outbreak of COVID-19 and most people are quarantined inside their homes. A group of friends create a groupchat in order to socialize with each other during their boredom. Although these friends have only been hanging out and talking for a few months, they are brought closer together during this time, but strange things start happening.
There’s something out there for them. Yes, each and every one of them. Something is haunting these kids. For what reason? Each of them has their own, dark secret.
In this chat, they will bond and have fun, until their horrid, terrifying messages are sent.
In this roleplay, you will type your responses in first person, as your character, of course. There will be no post order to make it realistically like a groupchat. If you’d like to join later in the roleplay, type up a character sheet and submit it. A character in the roleplay will add you to the chat.
Ex:
“James added Amber to the chat.”
Your character can use features such as:
“Amber left the chat.”
“James added Amber to the chat.”
“Amber changed the chat name to ‘Friends.’”
I’m going to keep a limit to one character for right now, until later on in the roleplay.
My character will be creating the chat.
You may use emoji and other text talk. Responses aren’t required to be lengthy since this is supposed to be realistically like a groupchat.
I’ll wait for four people to join, then start. Anyone else can join after.
