In the city of Merfolk,Two species lived together in peace,One was the sharkmaid,A professional and strong Hunter and the other,The enchanting mermaid/siren. These two mythical creatures both had there one side of a bargain for equal rights.The sharkmaids are forbidden to eat any mermaids and or sirens or even foolishly fall in love with one and the mermaids and or sirens would have to feed the sharkmaids often to make sure they wouldn't become too hungry and end up doing something bad. One day,A festival was held for a mermaid finding their soulmate and the sharkmaids were invited to the festival. Everything was good,The sharkmaids were having a huge meal and the couple were enjoying being one...until a mermaid cook slightly cut themselves while preparing more meals for a young sharkmaid that wanted more food..That string of red blood flowed into the sharkmaid's nostrils and in an instant..that mermaid was devoured..
In the fright of that horrific moment and out of fear of becoming next on the menu,The mermaids/sirens forced the sharkmaids out into the deeper waters were food was kinda scarce. The sharkmaids grew hungry and soon grew angry at having little food and being banished for a small accident and started a war with the mers,the sharkmaids quickly losing since the mers were more quick and experienced with handmade swords and spears and the sharkmaids just used their claws and fangs to attack,The sharkmaids soon retreating back to the deeper waters.
The sirens,However felt no safer while the sharks were out there in the waters,so they ordered skilled guards to capture any shark they find and lock them up. -
