Cavin began to do housework. As he scrubbed the windows, he found himself staring at his reflection. He had always been told he had his father's scruffy dark brown hair. But his eyes were dark blue and brooding. He rubbed the cloth over his reflection.

"Hurry home once you are done there, we have important things to talk about." Their father said while Akina finally found a channel to watch.

When that guy left the store, Tessa sighed in relief. And it was her turn in line. She bought the batteries, and headed home.

(I agree. I don't think I'd be good with two characters, though. I haven't had much experience with it.)
