"No kidding. He was one of the founders of Hogwarts," Oasis said. "Although I wonder how they enroll students for free."

“Me too.” Harbor said before quieting down after she heard a faint hiss in the tunnels, she covered Oasis’s mouth with a hand, “What’s that?”

Oasis was about to retort when she heard the hissing noise. "Step back very slowly."

“What do you think I’m doing?” Harbor hissed as she backed away, ready to snatch the rock and throw it at anything dangerous.

A small snake like creature slithered out. Oasis quickly averted her eyes in case it was a Basilisk.

Harbor, on the other hand stared right at it, “It’s so small.”

"Is it a snake?" Oasis asked.

“Yeah, careful, I’ve seen one of these back home. They’re called water moccasins, get bitten and you could die.”

I ironically just watched something with water moccasins in it yesterday-))
Oasis stood very, very still. She could hear the soft hissing of the snake. Her book on Parseltongue was open nearby.
"Go away," she told it, reading from the book. -

“Maybe let’s just get out of here.” Harbor said, moving back and narrowing her eyes at the snake. -
And I saw the name and just :0))
The snake glared at them, before chasing after some prey. Oasis breathed a sigh of relief. -
Lol))
Harbor sighed, “Good thing I wasn’t turned to stone!” -
"I wonder if a baby Basilisk could turn you to stone or only paralyze you," Oasis said thoughtfully. "Anyway, I don't plan on sticking around long enough to find out!"

“I don’t think it’s a baby anyways.” Harbor said, dashing off the the exit.

Once they had left the Chamber of Secrets, Oasis brushed herself off. "That place is cool, but creepy."
