(I have to say, I've never seen a killer with such fancy speech XD)
Gaynor calculated in a moment. Get as close as you can to your enemy, and then attack. "Yes, you may stay here." she said, opening the door wide enough for him to walk in. -
(What can I say, he's a fancy man)
02084 looked at the house curiously. It was a very nice sort of house, and he was sure he'd be comfortable here. At least until he found that blasted survivor. -
"I've made some stew," she said, trying her best to seem polite to this murderer, "if you'd like some. It's probably not what you're used to having, but it's something." Of course it isn't what he usually has, Gaynor thought, He usually feasts on blood.
-
"Thank you for your hospitality," 02084 remarked. "I would be much obliged to know your code."
-
"My . . . code?" Gaynor asked, confused. "You mean my name?"
-
"Your code," he repeated, confused.
-
"Is your code what you're called?" Gaynor asked.
-
"Yes," he said, sounding slightly relieved. "My code is 02084."
-
"I don't have a set of numbers people call me by," she said. She paused for a moment, and put on a face that made it look like she was trying to solve this dilemma, but she was actually deciding whether to tell the man her actual name. If he talked to other people and mentioned her under a different name, she'd be screwed. "I'm called Gaynor. Around here we call our codes names."
-
"Aah," he said. "How strange. I wonder why that is."
-
"Because we don't have a set of numbers that people call us by. We have a set of letters that sound good together (that's basically what names are, right?)."Gaynor said. "So would you like some stew?"
-
"Yes, thank you," he said, still puzzling over the idea of a "name". How difficult it must be, for you could possibly share a name with someone and be mixed up! He would have to think about this later.
-
Gaynor took out two bowls and poured some stew into each. Why would someone have a set of numbers? It's so uncreative. She handed one of the bowls to . . . what's his code again? 02084. She handed one of the bowls to 02084. She sat down on a chair near the fireplace and started to eat.
-
He looked quizzically at the spoon in front of him before quickly glancing at Gaynor. He began to copy her, and found it slightly enjoyable. He jumped at his reflection and dropped his spoon with a clatter.
"There is, there is a man in that piece of metal!" he yelped, tenderly kneeling to pick the spoon back up. -
Gaynor looked up from her bowl and looked at him almost like he was crazy. "Have you never seen your reflection?" she asked. "Or do you live in a place made of plastic?"
