"Someone from the government. They've been suspicious of me for a long time now," Persona said, her back to the door.
-
"..I-I'll protect you.." Alyth said as she soon had held onto Persona, her irises glowing with determination.
-
"Alyth... don't put yourself in any more danger than you're already in. They are looking for people like you. You can't get caught," Persona pleaded, her hands still clammy.
-
"B-But..they could hurt you...and I don't want you to get hurt because of me Persona.."Alyth said softly as she only held onto Persona more.
-
"I can take care of myself, Alyth. You can't get caught by these people. The things they do to your kind..," she trailed off. Suddenly a determined look set on her face.
"We have to leave. It's the only way." -
"T-Then they'll surely know that you're hiding me and they'll send a search group.." Alyth said.
-
"It doesn't matter. I have a friend that can help us," she said, determined. "I'll pack. I can't let them find you!"
-
Alyth wanted to protest against her words but decided to stay silent as she slowly moved from Persona.
-
Persona swept around her house in a small human tornado, sweeping all sorts of things into her bags. Once she was satisfied that she had gotten everything, she put all of her pets in carriers, with the exception of Ejo.
"There's a few horses and a carriage not far from here, come," she said, gathering her skirt in one fist. -
Alyth nodded her head as she followed after Persona.
-
Persona led the way, and threw all of her belongings quickly into the carriage, settling Ejo inside. She clambered up and extended her hand to Alyth.
-
Alyth grabbed onto her hand, allowing Persona to pull up her lighter form.
-
Persona spurred the reins to all of the horses, and they whinied and galloped forward, their large hooves stamping the ground.
-
Alyth looked back as the cottage grew smaller and smaller until it was soon out of sight.
-
Persona looked at the sun setting in the far distance, wondering what the future held. She held onto the frame of the carriage, watching the sky become dark and starry, their beauty reflected in her eyes.
